Terms of Service

Last updated: 3 November 2026

These terms apply to your use of Best on the Central Coast, a local guide and directory run by Roxane Pinault on the Central Coast, NSW. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.

Using the guide

The website shares local recommendations, business information, guides, events and planning tools. It is provided for general information. Recommendations reflect the sources and experiences described on each page; they are not a guarantee that a business will be suitable for your needs.

Prices, opening hours, event dates, availability, eligibility and services can change. Confirm important details directly with the business or organiser before travelling, booking or paying. Check qualifications, licences and suitability where relevant. Website content does not replace medical, legal, financial or other professional advice.

Recommendations and Sponsored pages

Businesses cannot buy a recommendation count or a position in the community rankings. Paid pages and placements are labelled Sponsored. Personal recommendations and invited experiences are identified as described on the relevant page. Read how the counts work and what the badges mean for more detail.

A listing is not a promise about a business's work, safety or ongoing performance. We may correct, update or remove information as new details become available. To report an error or request removal of your business listing, use the contact form.

Suggestions and material you submit

Please provide accurate information and disclose any connection you have with a business you recommend. Submitting a suggestion does not guarantee publication, a particular count, a position or a response within a set time.

Only submit text, photographs or other material that you own or have permission to share. Do not send unlawful, misleading, abusive or defamatory material, private information about another person, or material that infringes someone else's rights.

When you supply material for publication, you give us permission to use and reasonably edit it for the listing or guide you supplied it for. You keep ownership of your material. Personal contact details are handled under our Privacy Policy.

Purchasing a Sponsored page

The relevant product page, checkout and any written agreement explain the price, duration and inclusions of a purchase. A Sponsored page does not guarantee search rankings, traffic, enquiries or sales, and payment does not change your community recommendation count or ranking.

The advertising page explains how paid pages work. If a paid page ends, an independently earned free entry is not affected by that decision alone. Nothing in these terms excludes your rights to a remedy under applicable Australian consumer law.

Newsletter sign-up

If you opt in to a newsletter, you agree to receive updates from Best on the Central Coast at the email address you provide. You can unsubscribe using the option in an email or by contacting us. Google Reader Revenue Manager, where offered, handles sign-up rather than guaranteeing a publishing schedule. Using the website, submitting a suggestion or making a purchase does not by itself constitute newsletter consent.

Website content and fair use

You are welcome to share links to the website. Unless otherwise stated, original site content belongs to Best on the Central Coast or its contributors. Please ask permission before reproducing substantial parts of a page or using photographs. Business names, logos and third-party material remain the property of their respective owners. These terms do not restrict uses permitted by law.

Do not misuse forms, send spam, interfere with the website's operation or attempt unauthorised access.

External websites and tools

Links to other websites are provided for convenience. Those sites, their terms and their services are controlled by their operators. Bookings and purchases you make with a listed business are between you and that business.

Planning-tool outputs are estimates for general planning. Check quantities, budgets, food safety and dietary needs for your own circumstances. Website features may change or be temporarily unavailable.

Responsibility and consumer rights

We take care with the information we publish, but cannot promise that every detail will always be complete, current or free of errors. Please let us know when something needs correcting.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a right, guarantee or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law. Any limitation in these terms applies only to the extent permitted by law.

Updates and contact

We may update these terms by publishing a revised version with a new date. Changes apply to future use of the website and do not remove rights relating to an earlier purchase.

For questions, corrections or concerns, contact Roxane through the contact form. For a general enquiry, enter “Website enquiry” in the business-name field.
