As a mum and a total sucker for advent calendars, I’m always on the lookout for new ones. And 2026 is delivering, with some great options for kids and adults alike.

Lore Perfumery 12 Days of Spritzmas ($119)

Named in local groups · 1 mention

For the perfume lovers, Lore Perfumery is a Melbourne fragrance shop that has been making its 12 Days of Spritzmas calendar every year since 2021. Behind each of the first 12 days of December is a different 1.5–2ml fragrance sample, plus a surprise gift in a 13th drawer and a booklet with stories and journal pages for your thoughts on each scent.

This year’s theme is nostalgia, with picks from indie and niche houses like Heretic Parfum and Etat Libre d’Orange, and local Aussie brands like Perdrisât and Map of the Heart. It’s $119 on pre-sale and ships from early November, so it’s one to order soon.

Koko Black Christmas Advent Calendar ($84.90)

Named in local groups · 1 mention

If chocolate is a must in your house, Koko Black is an Australian chocolatier that handcrafts its pralines. The Christmas Advent Calendar counts down with 25 pralines (300g), made with natural ingredients and certified cocoa. A couple of reviewers found some flavours doubled up, like a milk and a dark version of the same praline, so it’s more about the quality of the chocolate than 25 different surprises.

It ships refrigerated, or you can use free click and collect.

T2 x Kentaro Yoshida 24 Day Tea Bag Advent Calendar ($50)

For the tea lovers, T2’s advent calendar has 24 teas and tisanes behind its doors. The mix includes black teas like French Earl Grey and Christmas Breakfast, greens like Jasmine Pear, herbals like Sleep Tight, and festive ones like Eggnog and Sticky Date Delight.

This year’s box is illustrated by Sydney-based Japanese artist Kentaro Yoshida, who mixes the shopping streets of his Tokyo childhood with koalas, kangaroos and a surfboard. It’s so pretty that one reviewer said you could frame it. At $50 it’s one of the more affordable picks for adults, and you can click and collect in store.

Beer Cartel Craft Beer Advent Calendar ($184.99)

For the beer lovers, Beer Cartel’s advent calendar has 25 exclusive beers brewed just for it by 25 different independent Australian breweries, including Mountain Culture, Range, Hawkers, Hop Nation and Akasha. There’s one for every day of December, Christmas Day included, and the styles range from West Coast IPAs and Italian pilsners to Belgian tripels and barrel-aged imperial stouts.

The box is designed to fit in most fridges, and it arrives inside a plain outer box, so it stays a surprise if you’re giving it as a gift. It’s on pre-order now, with dispatch starting in the second week of November.

Advent calendars for kids

NeeDoh Advent Calendar at Tim & Gerry’s Kids Boutique

Named in local groups · 1 mention

Tim & Gerry’s is a kids’ boutique best known for streetwear, but a local mum pointed out it stocks the NeeDoh advent calendar. There’s a mini NeeDoh squishy behind each of the 24 doors, each one a different colour, shape or texture, so it’s a fun alternative to chocolate. It’s not cheap at $179, and it isn’t suitable for kids aged three and under.

The retailer’s shipping policy lists free standard delivery on orders over $200. Check the delivery cost at checkout before ordering.

$179 and listed in stock when checked on 5 November 2026.

It’s filled with his own homemade, preservative-free treats, like peanut butter and pumpkin biscuits, Vegemite and flaxseed biscuits, kangaroo jerky, beef liver and turkey breast.

It’s $45, and you can order through acedogsupplies.com, his Facebook page or by calling 0419 284 074. Calendars arrive mid-November, so get your order in early.
