High Tea on the Central Coast
As a mum on the Coast, I’m always looking for a lovely excuse to catch up with a friend or plan something special with my family. I haven’t tried high tea yet, but I’d love to: pots of tea, little savouries and a tiered stand of sweet things, with nowhere to rush off to. It sounds like such a fun, decadent treat.
I’ve started gathering the Coast’s high tea spots and arranging them by town. If you’re after a more everyday coffee stop in the meantime, have a look at my guide to the best cafes on the Central Coast.
Ettalong Beach
Hatters Tea House
Hatters sounds like a lovely place to linger over tea. One local who recommended it mentioned the quiet room, its old wares, and handmade quiches, sandwiches and slices, with a choice of tea. Hatters came up three times in the conversation, so it’s made my own high tea wish list. Check with the team for the current menu, price and booking details before you go.
