Hens parties and girls’ days out

Hens party ideas on the Central Coast

You want her to have a lovely time. But first there’s the group chat, a budget to agree on and the question of what eight or ten people will actually enjoy doing together. When I planned my own bachelorette party in 2026, I found it surprisingly hard to get useful answers from Google. This guide began with the places we went, and I’m adding more ideas to help you put together a day that feels right for your bride.

Start with where you’re staying, then think about how she’d most like to spend the day. My own picks are in Umina Beach; you’ll also find ideas for Toowoon Bay and activities that can come to your accommodation.

Umina Beach

A bathhouse session, then cocktails by the beach

This was the combination we chose for my hens: an hour at the bathhouse, then a big table for food and cocktails. If your bride would enjoy a slower start before going out, you could build a day around those two bookings and leave yourselves some breathing room between them.

Margarita Daze

♥ My pick

A cocktail at Margarita Daze during my hens party in 2026.

For my hens, we booked a big table at Margarita Daze for cocktails and food. We had such a fun time. It’s right by the beach on Trafalgar Avenue, and it would suit a bride who’d be happiest sitting down with her friends over lunch, with nowhere else to rush off to.

We went on a Saturday and there was live music, which made the afternoon feel like a party without us having to organise the entertainment. Check what’s on for your date if that appeals to you; I can’t promise it’s there every Saturday.

Worth sorting before you book: Margarita Daze offers group bookings and share menus. Ask how they’d seat your numbers and what the food arrangements would cost, so everyone knows what they’re agreeing to.

Bathhouse · Umina Beach

Central Coast Float

♥ My pick

We spent an hour in Central Coast Float’s Cedar Bathhouse before heading out. There was the cold plunge for anyone willing to brave it, a sauna to warm up in and a hot spa, with tea when we wanted to sit for a while. The team were so lovely and caring. It’s one I’d happily choose again for a bride who’d enjoy being looked after for an hour.

We were also able to get ready on one of the patios afterwards. That little bit of help made a difference when we had somewhere to be next. Ask the team about it before building it into your plans, as it was something arranged for our visit.

Planning for your numbers: The bathhouse accommodates a group of up to ten for a 60-minute session. Book everyone into the same time and check whether the space will be shared. It’s somewhere for a quiet catch-up, so save the louder party games for later. Bring swimwear and a drying towel; tea and a sauna seating towel are included.

Toowoon Bay

For the bride who’d enjoy a Pilates morning

Mat Pilates · Toowoon Bay

Format Pilates

Named by a local · 1 mention

If your bride loves Pilates, a class together could be a nice way to begin the day before lunch. Format Pilates is in Toowoon Bay, so it’s an option to enquire about if you’re staying nearby and would rather keep the morning local.

Start by asking about a private mat class for your whole group, including anyone who hasn’t tried Pilates before. Group capacity and private bookings still need confirming; don’t plan for twelve until the studio has said yes.

At your accommodation · Central Coast

Let the activity come to you

Private yoga · location by arrangement

Balanced You Yoga

Local suggestion · 1 mention

A yoga session at the house could work beautifully for a bride who’d rather have a gentle morning with her friends than hurry everyone out the door. Sarah at Balanced You teaches Hatha yoga with breathwork and meditation, and has taught private celebrations.

Tell her where you’re staying and how many of you there will be, including anyone new to yoga. You’ll need to agree on the space and equipment, as well as confirm that she can travel to you. That leaves you free to plan breakfast afterwards without another journey to fit in.

Mobile entertainment · Central Coast

Men On Fire

An option to explore

If your bride would love a cheekier evening, Men On Fire brings life drawing and cocktail classes to your accommodation. Everyone can stay together at the house, with a host running the activity. Life drawing lasts 90 minutes and includes the art materials. The cocktail class runs for two hours with equipment and glassware, or you can combine both in a three-hour booking.

Check what she’d enjoy before booking the firefighter-themed entertainment as a surprise. Then get a quote for your actual numbers and confirm what you’ll need to provide, particularly alcohol. It could be a way to give the evening some structure without taking everyone out to another venue.

Behind the guide

Hi, I’m Roxane

I’m Roxane, a Central Coast mum who got married in 2026. After trying to piece together my own hens day, I wanted to make this part of the wedding planning a little easier for someone else. The two Umina picks are places I’ve been myself; the other ideas are here for you to explore.
